+0.5 stars for the idea, but everything else is a big oops.

I'm not even sure I fully understand the controls, how are you meant to move from a place to the next? There's no collision trigger and I somehow managed to teleport by smashing my keyboard. Overall, it's ass.

Aka404041 responds:

Hi, thanks for the comment.
You are supposed to move the character and have it touching one of the arrows, then press the space bar to go to the next place.
Hope this helps!!

This is just the Google Dino Runner, but with nicer graphics and 3 lives. Nothing to see here gents.

blit-blat responds:

And Dino Runner is just Canabalt with worse graphics. Luckily for me you can’t copyright mechanics!

This is quite well-made, but still it feels a lil' bit incomplete.

HelperWesley responds:

I made it over one weekend, so I'm not surprised it feels a little incomplete. πŸ˜… There are a lot more things I could/should do with it in the future. More stats, enemies, mechanics, etc. πŸ€”

Thank you for playing it, I hope you had fun. πŸ‘

The game's mostly good, but the optimisation could be better. There's a shadow that keeps popping in and out of existence on my game. If that can help ya figure this out, my laptop has an Intel graphics card.

bluemath responds:

Thanks. I'll keep an eye for the bug you mention. I haven't seen it yet.

The game is bad.

-Generic platformer as all hell, there's nothing original in this game.
-There's no audio at all.
-The platforming is hard and precise. I'd prolly forgive it in a flash game made 20 years ago, but this is just bad and the movement/jumping is not that great compared to a game like Meat Boy, so this makes the gameplay really frustrating.
-The level design basically sucks too.

I'm still giving it 2 stars:
Despite being ugly, I also kinda like the graphics.

Also there's missing animations which doesn't bother me that much, older NG games were also a bit lazy. The zombies slide along the ground and there's no jump animation for the player.

EDIT: You completely missed the point, but whatever, the game is still stanky and I doubt it'd get more than an overall score of 3 stars.

Dav1dsCool responds:

Literally the whole point to the game is for it to be hard, don't complain about it when you can't complete the levels, although I will agree with you on the zombies, could have put some animation into them. Also, thanks about the graphics.

lol the game plays itself, I almost won by doing absolutely nothing.

I'm feeling nice today, so I'll give it a nice score, but it deserves a worse score TBH and also I wouldn't call this a roguelike, this is just a weird mixture of minigames cobbled together. I especially like the second level's disappearing sky, nice touch.

adriendittrick responds:

wait I completely forgot I gave this a roguelike tag haha. I think for this one I wanted to make a game that uses every single tag available on the gamejolt website, so I put permadeath and stat increase in there X) But you're right that it shouldn't be considered a roguelike.

An interesting puzzle game, I got no complaints there.

I saw Amogus on the thumbnail BTW.

Wolod responds:

Now I can see it too :D

The tutorial preset isn't meant to be uploaded like that to NG, that's lazy. You could have atleast done something ANYTHING funny with it.

Honestly you're so lucky all the assets are in the public domain.

lml55 responds:

That's sorta the point of public domain stuff, I just wanted to make something and made this in like 2 days\\

EDIT: For those wondering this uses the demo as a template, I just used the asset made a few of my own and did this to get back into Game Development

Removing a star for being incomplete/not fully working.

The pixelisation algorithm used in this game is very inelegant and the outlines of sprites will disappear and reappear repeatedly. Best visible on the health which look to be tin cans? Cards?

The touch controls only work sometimes. They work fine on the title screen, I clicked on my mouse cursor which brought me into the game, but then when I got the prompt to press z or tap again it didn't work. I also wonder how it can work with a mobile screen when the touch controls are missing ingame too. This is exactly like GloryTheRainWing said, the game is rushed.

Otherwise I think it's somewhat good.

Peti responds:

Sounds like it might be a device issue, with the game thinking you're playing on PC when you're not. This game should be fully compatible on Android phones, that's what I have been playtesting it on. Tablets were out of our reach(and not something we assumed needed testing), and we were already warned beforehand that iOS issues would be out of our control.

Sorry that you encountered issues. Thanks for the fair review anyway.

Just-a-ng-dummy responds:

I tried my best to make mobile players have a good time but I guess not all of them are pleased still :/

"Best visible on the health"
Yes that is to be expected, it's a viewport sprite effect thingy cause It's scaled down a bit and rotates. It looks cool, at least for me

"press z or tap again it didn't work"
Hm I wonder why. For me it worked on mobile and my PC (it has touchscreen). I got Peti to do some Beta testing and not once they mentioned the cutscene not working.. I'm thinking your device is really old as fuck or probably IOS

"This is exactly like GloryTheRainWing said, the game is rushed."
I spent quite some time on this CyberRobotnix. I tried to Optimize it a lot with some help from Peti like fixing the joystick and level improvements. But if you and Glory Hole over there think it's rushed, then so be it

Sorry that you encountered issues. If you ever want to play and talk snap about this game again, I recommend playing it on a good PC

It's kinda mid even for a game jam game, I think you should've used an easier engine than Unity to get your job done quicker.

But anyways the game's working, so I'll atleast give you 3 stars.

SpookDev responds:

Thank you for the review! I had more ideas with the game, but I unfortunately didn't have much time to actually commit to them, that might be the reason why there is little to no gameplay involved in the final version, since I intended those levels to be mainly a tutorial introducing the mechanics of the game.

Brutally honest, if any of my reviews upset you, consider this https://youtu.be/YQbMtvQowX0
If you got mad by a review made for some1 else then that's for you https://youtu.be/zEAStIBmNUs
Besides that, shoutout to Top Hat Gaming Man and The Spiffing Brit.
