A walking simulator of a generic looking Atari game.

The story is scattered across a bunch of pages that you don't even have to collect. If you do, it takes half a minute to read each.

Funnily enough though, the story is predictable and overdone too. It's just "everyone died and you're the monster".

It's def a "first game" if I've ever seen one.

Nirag responds:

Thank you for the honest feedback.
It's more an interactive story than a game. Bitsy (and my knowledge of it) was very limited at that time.

Not bad although not very original. The lack of music also made me bored and I didn't want to play the game anymore halfway through.

Overall I'd say it's a good little puzzle game, but it could be more original and it could be more fun.

rvh86 responds:

The music is turned off when starting the game, you can turn it on by pressing the music icon in the right top corner of the game. Thanks for your review!

I got a plane for the first picture and when I typed "plane" it didn't accept it. Why don't you atleast include synonyms? If you show me a sword and I have to guess between "sword" and "blade" it wastes time and it's annoying dude.
Also to finish a prompt I need to press on backspace instead of return. Wack.

SeasonQuest responds:

I'll think about adding letters on the word like in hangman.

I'm going to have to give this game an average rating because I literally can't play it and have a good idea of how it plays like. Each time I boot this thing up it freezes the whole browser. How the hell is this optimised?

Why does a 2D game like this have to eat up all my RAM? My task manager says it's fucking using almost 2 GB. By comparison the other most resource intensive thing on my laptop is Brave and my browser only uses 100 MB with each tab using between 100 MB and 1 MB.

My gaming PC could've prolly handled it just fine, but it died last year. Hell it's a 2D game it shouldn't be as heavy on the system as a 3D game esp when my laptop can run alot of 3D games just fine.

Anyways I'll change the rating when and if I can actually play the game someday.

Spagato responds:

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I had no idea this was taking that much on the ram on the web version. Try playing the downloadable version of the game. I'll try to see if I can fix this problem asap.

You did the Zelda transition better than I could in my own Zeldalike, so it's got some really good programming. The game's in general not too shabby either.

EDIT: I'm going to upload it here eventually, but for now it's on my itch.io page, linked on my profile. I want to make sure the game is fully finalised and polished just to make sure it gets attention and potentially even an award.

Anonymous-Frog responds:

Games: 3. Two ZabuJard spams and Faces of 2022.

Where’s this zeldalike?

It'd be epic if it actually runs on the Linux terminal or the Windows CMD, but unlikely since it's been made in Godot, but who knows.

Cookie-CHR responds:

Yeah, that's very unlikely, but you are right, it would be hella cool. I'll write the idea down somewhere

Incomplete or not, this houldn't have been put online in this state.

This isn't even an Alpha or Beta demo, it's just a prototype.

brianthehacker151 responds:

i wouldn't even call it a prototype, honestly. putting it online is both to provide a more publicly facing place for it to be viewed and to give me an actual reason to continue working on it.

Just sayin' nobody can copyright video game genres, so that DMCA was fucking fraudulent.

Imagine tho how many games would be taken down only because platformers are so common.

EathanGames responds:

ikr
someone reported it bc it was a flappy bird remake and ng just took it down
the game doesn't have music or anything so it was just because "it's like flappy bird therefore is copyrighted content" like what

Someone else already made a demake of Hollow Knight, also no idea what to do. The tutorial literally didn't explain anything. When I kill the enemies they revive BTW

Elv13s responds:

This is Hungry Knight, and if you have played the original youll know what to do thank you

Cute, interesting puzzle platformer. Only issue is that at the beginning the game doesn't explain anything so I didn't know everything was colour-coded. Really dumb game design on that part.

DynoStorm responds:

Thanks ^^

Brutally honest, if any of my reviews upset you, consider this https://youtu.be/YQbMtvQowX0
If you got mad by a review made for some1 else then that's for you https://youtu.be/zEAStIBmNUs
Besides that, shoutout to Top Hat Gaming Man and The Spiffing Brit.
